We were asked to design furniture for several rooms in this house by our client who was planning extensive alterations to their new home. Following our initial meetings to establish a design brief we drew up plans to incorporate a new kitchen, dressing room and vanity cabinetry within the new proposed building layout.
Despite having some space restrictions we managed to fit everything in that was required to create well planned working rooms.
The insides of the kitchen larder cabinet utilised handmade dog tooth shelving supports to add to the visual appeal of the cabinetry, whilst sensors on the doors turned the internal lighting on whenever they were opened.
A handmade ceramic sink and fully recessed drainer area in the Silestone worktops were a nice practical addition to the working area.
All of the cabinets were hand-painted with Farrow and Ball estate eggshell to work with the colour scheme of the house.
The hand painted dressing room cabinets were lined with American black walnut and included bespoke pullout shoe trays and an island cabinet to provide even more storage space. Matching vanity cabinets were designed to provide twin wash basins in the master en-suite and a smaller single bowl in the guest bathroom.
